As a professional figure drawing model, I am the subject of the other's gaze, an object, a composition. While being the perfect object, my gaze is fixed for an extended period of time, allowing compositions to reveal themselves to me. The tricks of the eye play with contrast, sharpness, and focus which I then I work to capture in the camera, the viewed secretly becoming the viewer.
